🌿 Growing Loud Together: The Story Behind DEAFiant x Pink Llama Botanicals

Some stories are written in the stars long before we ever live them. This one belongs to us—Taye and Townley (Melissa)—two sisters brought together by fate, bonded by resilience, and now united in a mission to spark change through our brands.

Three years ago, we found each other. Taye had been adopted and, though we always knew about her, we didn’t know where she was in the world. The day we finally connected, it felt like a missing piece of our family fell perfectly into place. Taye came to us hearing—dealing with ear problems and infections but still able to experience sound. From that first hug, it was as if she had been here all along.

But life has a way of testing even the strongest hearts. Over the past year, Taye lost her hearing completely. The journey hasn’t been easy. She’s learning to navigate a world that often isn’t designed for those who don’t hear, and she’s doing it with one cochlear implant (and another on the way). Together, we’re learning sign language, breaking down barriers, and meeting these challenges head-on.

That’s why DEAFiant was born—to amplify the voices of the Deaf community, to celebrate resilience, and to create unapologetic designs that stand tall against a world that doesn’t always accommodate.

At the same time, Pink Llama Botanicals has been my (Townley’s) labor of love—bringing life and beauty into homes through plants. Both of us come from lives of hardship, but through the support of family and our own grit, we’ve built something to be proud of.

Now, our brands are coming together. 🌱✊

This collaboration isn’t just about shirts or plants. It’s about growth through adversity. It’s about showing that even in silence, we are loud. It’s about spreading awareness, starting conversations, and reminding the world that resilience blooms even in the harshest conditions.
